Francisco Fort Museum
The Francisco Fort museum is the last standing original adobe fort building in the state of Colorado. Established by Colonel John Francisco as a trading post in 1862, this adobe structure now houses the heirlooms of Huerfano County, including important collections of Native American, Spanish settler, and pioneer artifacts. The Museum is open for tours Tuesday through Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Local Golf Courses
Our property has 360 views of the Cuchara Valley and the pristine mountain tops that surround us. Why not spend your day on the course soaking in the spectacular views. After 8 years, we are excited by the news that our local mountain course, one of the finest in Colorado, is now re-opening. While you are enjoying our little corner of heaven, make yourself a tee time to enjoy a round with friends, finishing your day by relaxing on the newly renovated club-house deck.
